Full Version: Want to build a hot rod 22 classic

This will be a lower budget build, over time 2 years. ($20k used boat, + $20K build budget).
Finally made the decision I'm doing a hot rod boat (22 Classic) not a car not a bike.
Care more about being set back in the seat then top end speed. Lookingt at 2, 1997 Classic 22's.
One is a small block and one has the 502. Is the big block clearly the best starting point or is the weight a factor to consider? Any suggestions are welcome. dry.gif

Almost two years without a reply. How did that happen? I put a 525 EFI in mine.
